Tie rods hold the TOP (hob) of the Aga range cooker down to the bottom base plate - pulling the top down. There are 4 rods that do this plus one that fixes the top oven (right side on a 4 oven model) to the base, countering the weight pull of the barrel assembly.

They are 5/16th Whitworth threaded on the Deluxe and 3/8th on the Standard version (see our other listing), numbering 9 on later 4 oven versions and Standard 4 oven, 7 on the Pre 74 Dluxe with the one piece top.

They are held down by tapered circular nuts with a hollow centre (see our other listing) that the chrome buttons screw onto. Rods are approximately 33 inch long.

2 Sets are needed for a 4 oven Aga.
