Product Description

Please contact us to check stock of these, as they are difficult to source.

Your early Gas Aga range cooker will have a control system inside the LEFT door (middle door on 4 oven versions) and a BLACK KNOB on the right side, with numbers on it 1-6. The centre of this knob turns and is in fact a tap to stop the gas from going to the MAIN BURNER. We are offering the THERMOSTAT VALVE ONLY as detailed in the picture - the brass valve with coiled metal probe wire - NOT the complete burner assembly (Second photo for identification purposes only).

These Teddington valves were OBSOLETE when production moved to China. We now have sourced new ones so buy a valve to prolong the life of your Aga before you have to spend a fortune replacing the whole thing! Please see our Mark 1 Factory Burner replacement if you want to replace ALL the gas train.

So buy a valve NOW so you can prolong the life of your Aga range cooker before you have to spend £600 replacing the whole thing!

The stat MUST have the original bypass screw fitted. It simply screws out of the existing stat and you must screw it into the new one. You will then need to calibrate the thermostat as full calibration is impossible until it is fitted with the correct bypass screw. Please note that this may involve a callback from your Gas Safe Engineer so please discuss this with them before ordering.
