Product Description

The Teddington gas valve fitted on the Mark 1 Aga Range Cooker can fail. If you cooker fails to "hold" alight when you have got a pilot flame  it's usually the thermocouple that has died. This is often when the engineer goes to relight the cooker after a service or you want to relight after its been off for the summer. Most engineers change the thermocouple on serving for that reason!

However if the thermocouple is OK the "mag valve",  sometimes called the Flame failure valve, will  have failed.

Its a pig of a job to change the whole thing but we have managed to find the internal "coil" that makes it work. Fitting is easy and your gas engineer inserts it through the thermocouple end after unscrewing the alloy nut.

The coil is a carefully made fit so its VITAL you check the size matches our stock as over 20 years Aga did make some different sizes! If yours is a different size our coil will NOT be suitable.

See photos for dimensions which are length 44mm, width 15.5mm, seal end 11.5mm. Please note that the mag valve in the photos is NOT included. It is just shown for identification purposes.
