Once you take the side and rear panels off your Rayburn the factory fitted slagwool will fall out and it's impossible to buy or refit easily. Yes you can stuff it back in (you must wear gloves) but there is a better solution. There has been a ceramic revolution which has now replaced the original slagwool. It is ceramic tiles that protect the Shuttle on re-entry!
We supply you with a 3.6 metre length x 600mm wide x 25 mm thick ceramic blanket which has SUPERB insulation qualities. This thickness equally 8 inches of glass fibre or slag wool.
It can be applied directly to the rear and sides of the Rayburn oven and behind the boiler. It is easily cut with scissors or a Stanley knife and pushed firmly into place.
So if you are stripping the cooker please order this with your new boiler and/or bricks etc. to make sure that the heat generated stays in the cooker!
