Product Description

Complete with front door in black vitreous enamel, inch outlet, blanking plate for unused exit and damper/slider.

These fit Right Hand model Rayburn Regent, Rayburn Royal and Rayburn MF but not early models or bigger versions.

****Important Note****

The Rayburn Royal was first made in 1958, with a cream flue box for either left or right hand cookers. It was subsequently offered with a white, black or brown enamelled flue box to match the top - which was the same colour as the front.
The box was made of cast iron, very heavily constructed and initially the slider was UNDER the hob so no cut away on the flue box base to take it.

The same box was supplied for the Regent, and later the MF with a lever to adjust flue draw - necessary when burning wood.

The later boxes were made with a slot about 4 inch wide across the base and a cast flue damper slid in and out at that point to regulate the flue pull on the smoke / heat in the cooker.

Our supplier has produced a box which fits all models, and is very similar to the boxes available new from Aga-Rayburn.

To fit a new box that was designed to accommodate a variety of models made over nearly 50 years of production means that the buyer needs to be flexible. So to fit your box - or indeed a new box from Rayburn - you might well have to drill 2 x 1/4 inch holes or even fill in the under hob slider hole with fireclay. The matter of creating a smoke tight joint is irrelevant as the slider has to move in and out through a larger gap - and if your cooker smokes at THAT point you have a chimney defect.
